What audiences are

An audience is the group of customers a campaign is sent to, or the filter you apply to a report. Audiences aren't static lists — they're calculated from your customer data in real time. Anyone who matches the criteria is in. Anyone who stops matching drops out.

Audience types

  • Predefined audiences: new, recurring, inactive and tagged customers. Ready to use, no setup.
  • Custom audiences: built by combining rules over customer data (service, last-appointment date, total spend, tags).

How they're kept up to date

Every night, Mimos recomputes the membership. The inactive customers audience, for instance, grows by itself as your customers go more days without a visit.

Good to know

  • Audiences are created and managed under Marketing > Audiences.
  • Custom audiences combine rules with AND / OR to be more or less strict. See Create a custom audience for details.
  • Audiences can't be edited by hand. If you need to exclude someone, change their record (for example, their marketing consent) and the audience updates itself.
