Why Mimos exists
Mimos started with a simple problem: booking a grooming appointment was harder than it needed to be.
I wanted to book a groom for my dog. The salon was great, but appointments were handled mostly by phone. I would remember to call while I was working, forget about it, and remember again later when the salon was already closed.
At first, I thought this was just a customer problem. Then I started talking to groomers.
Many were spending hours every week answering calls and messages, moving appointments around, sending reminders and keeping track of information about every client and pet. Some were using paper diaries, others Google Calendar or WhatsApp, and others were trying to make generic salon software work for a grooming business.
I thought there should be a better option.
So I built Mimos
Mimos is software made specifically for pet grooming businesses.
It brings your calendar, online bookings, client and pet records, reminders, deposits and marketing tools together in one place — without trying to turn your business into something it is not.
I also wanted the pricing to be simple. Mimos has a fixed monthly subscription, with no commission on the bookings you receive.
You can use Mimos on the web, iPhone and Android, and it is available in nine languages.
Built with groomers
I do not pretend to know more about grooming than groomers do.
My job is to build the software. Their experience tells me what the software needs to do.
A lot of what you see in Mimos today comes directly from conversations with grooming businesses — from small changes that save a few clicks to features designed around the way groomers price and manage their services.
Who is behind Mimos
Diogo — Founder
I am a software engineer and dog owner. Mimos started because of my experience as a customer, but it has grown by listening to the people on the other side of those appointments.
I want Mimos to become the kind of software that quietly makes running a grooming business easier — less time doing admin, fewer interruptions during the day, and more time for the work that actually matters.
Tell me what is missing
Mimos is still being built, and the most useful thing you can send me is the part of your day that software should have solved already — the call you keep having to return, the reminder you send by hand. Write to [email protected]; it reaches me.
