Schedule when a campaign goes out

A trigger is a campaign that sends automatically when a customer event happens — for example, 30 days after their last appointment to re-engage an inactive customer, or on the pet's birthday.

A trigger is a campaign that sends automatically when a customer event happens — for example, 30 days after their last appointment to re-engage an inactive customer, or on the pet's birthday.

When to use a trigger

  • Revisit reminder: nudge a customer X months after their last appointment.
  • Pet's birthday: send a small discount on the day.
  • Welcome: the first message to a new customer, shortly after their first visit.

Schedule a trigger

  1. Open Marketing > Triggers and click New trigger.
  2. Pick the event that activates it (days since last appointment, birthday, new customer, etc.).
  3. Set any extra conditions — for example "only if the customer has visited at least once" or "only if they have tag X".
  4. Pick the message template and channel.
  5. Click Save. The trigger goes live and is evaluated each night.

Good to know

  • Triggers are evaluated once a day, overnight. They're not instant — a customer who matches today gets the message the next day.
  • If several campaigns or triggers fire for the same customer on the same day, Mimos applies the weekly frequency cap and only sends the highest-priority message.
  • You can deactivate a trigger from the list without deleting it — keep the config ready in case you want to switch it back on later.
